“Macau Grand Gathering” Closed Successfully

Titled “MacauGrand Gathering”, the 3^rd China (Macau) International Automobile Exposition (“Macau Auto Show”), the 3^rd China (Macau) International Yacht Import and Export Fair (“Macau Yacht Fair”), and the 2^nd Macau Business Aviation Exhibitionclosed successfully on Nov. 3. With strong support from Macau SAR Government, the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macau SAR, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC, the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office of the State Council and other related government sections, as well as the active efforts made by the organizers, the three exhibitions have been a complete success and have won positive feedback and praise from exhibitors, visitors, the media and the public. 

CNAICO President Ji Xuecheng pointed at the closing media conference that the 2013 Macau Auto Show continues to demonstrate its widespread international influence. The display area has expanded from 55,000m² to 60,000m². More than 60 car brands from 15 countries and many institutions connected with car accessories and services have participated in the exhibition. More than 400 cars were exhibited and about 150 media were involved in the media coverage of this show. This exhibition hit many records in the history of the Macau Auto Shows in terms of its display area, level of exhibitors and media involvement. Besides the pavilion of China-made Autos, Extremely Luxurious, Imported Autos and some other pavilion that are the same with last year, the 3^rd Macau Auto Show added the pavilion of Modified Cars and Accessories, and the pavilion of New Energy. The automobiles on display are of various kinds, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, refitted vehicles, new energy vehicles, racing automobiles and motorcycles, and have attracted wide attention from the global automobile industry and other sectors in society.

 

Moreover,“2013 Macau Auto Show” organized 23 colorful activities, which greatly increased the added value of the exhibition. “The 3^rd China (Macau) Asia-Pacific Automobile Summit and the Development Summit Forum of Self-owned Brands” gathered senior managers of automobile companies in Hong Kong, Macau and other overseas automobile companies. They discussed the globalization of China’s future automobile industry from a forward-looking perspective. The World Classic Car Tour themed, “Time Tunnel” guided visitors to five big cities and by serving as a moving channel, it enabled the visitors to have a close look at and appreciate the long-lasting charm of thebeat-up cars and experience the splendid culture and history of automobiles by involving them in the process of automobile development process. In addition, other activities such as the Lucky Draw, Baby Model Show, Children’s Painting Competition, Photography Competition, etc., were also held, which greatly enriched the exhibition andboosted the enthusiasm of the general publicfor participating in the exhibition.

 President Ji Xuecheng said, after three years of joint cultivation, the “Macau Auto Show” insists on the theme and positioning of “Brand, Communications, Opportunities”, makes full use of Macau’s geographical advantage of radiating the Southeast Asia as well as linking the international market, and demonstrates its unique and a widespread influence. It has become a new window for China’s automobile industry and China’s self-owned automobile brands to go global. The success of the “Macau Auto Show” has played a positive role in improving the overall development of Macau’s convention and exhibition industry, promoting the pluralistic development of Macao’s economy, the development of China’s automobile industry and the economic and trade exchanges between regions.
