Onthe morning of October 22, Mr. Jean-Marc Gales, the CEO of the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA) visited CNAICO. Vice president Cheng Yongshun met with the guests. The two sides deliberated over cooperation in the forthcoming 2013 Automechanika Shanghai, and discussed the possibility of further cooperation in the future. Zhang Lin, the General manager of International Trade Department 3 and Guo Jinwei, the Director of International Exhibition Department 3 also attended the meeting.

On behalf of President Ji Xuecheng, Vice President Cheng Yongshun expressed a warm welcome to Mr. Gales. He gave a brief introduction on the latest development of CNAICO, and invited Mr. Gales to visit 2013 Automechanika Shanghai again. Mr. Gales saidhe was glad to see that“Automechanika Shanghai”isbecoming a platform that integrates full range trade between China domestic and international automotive parts industries, and CLEPA will continue to maintain close communication and cooperation with CNAICO. The two sides alsodiscussed CLEPA’s operation mode in the U.S. and European markets, and reached a consensus to cooperate in the market information exchange.


 
CLEPA was founded in 1959 and based in Brussels. Now it has 108 members of the world's most prominent suppliers for car parts, systems and modules, such as Bosch, Delphi, Continental and so on. Its members also include 25 National trade associations and European sector associations. Mr. Gales is the former vice president and brand CEO of Peugeot Citroen.
