CMEC International Exhibition Tops the List of Overseas Fair Organizers for Six Consecutive Years

      On the afternoon of January 11, the 14th China Expo Forum for International Cooperation (CEFCO 2018) was held in Qingdao. In the 2017 Annual Report on China`s Exhibition Industry promulgated by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd. topped the list of overseas exhibition organizers in the number of projects ranks. It was the six consecutive year for CMEC to be ranked first since 2012.


       In the past 2017, the exhibition industry continued to drive global economic development as a much sought-after trading platform. With an output value of 600 billion yuan, it had effectively promoted China's economic and trade development.

       According to statistics, 100 Chinese exhibition organizers held 1549 exhibitions (fairs) in 70 countries, covering 849,800 square meters of exhibition area in total, up by 1.77% against the previous year. The number of exhibitors totaled 59,000, up by 1.72%. CEMEC the veteran with 66 years of expertise in organizing overseas exhibitions organized 110 exhibitions in 2017, accounting for 7.1% of the total. The actual exhibition area approximated 50,000 square meters, accounting for 5.7% of the total, and the number of exhibitors was about 4,000, accounting for about 7% of the total.

       In 2017, China's participation in exhibitions in countries along the “Belt and Road” increased steadily. Eighty-eight exhibition organizers organized 628 exhibitions in 33 countries along the “Belt and Road” to, accounting for 40.5% of the total and up by 4.3% against 2016. The number of exhibitors reached 26,000, accounting for 44.1% of the total and up by 30.0%. CEMEC held 80 exhibitions in 20 countries along the “Belt and Road”, and organized 32 events for trade and economic cooperation, exchanges, business matchmaking, promotion, publication and contract signing.
