SMEX 2018 & China Machinery & Intelligent Manufacturing Brand Show (Malaysia) successfully held

       The Smart Manufacturing Exhibition (SMEX 2018) and 2018 China Machinery & Intelligent Manufacturing Brand Show (Malaysia) were successfully held at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Center (MITEC) from August 15th to August 18th. This exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and jointly organized by the Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce and CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd. (“CMEC EXPO” for short), a subsidiary of SINOMACHINT. This exhibition was the first professional machinery industry exhibition held by the government of China in Malaysia.

       On August 16th, He Peng, the Deputy Director-General of the Trade Development Bureau of Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Mohd. Redzuan bin Md. Yusof, the Minister of Entrepreneur Development of Malaysia, Yang Ming, the General Manager of CMEC EXPO, and Mohd Hatta bin Md Ramli, the Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development of Malaysia, attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches.


       To further develop the “Belt and Road” initiative, SINOMACH and SINOMACHINT are extensively showcasing representative R&D achievements and products of China’s machinery industry to local merchants and consumers. The 2018 China Machinery & Intelligent Manufacturing Brand Show (Malaysia) covers 1,800 square meters, showcasing machining and metal processing, robots and industrial automation, industrial parts, energy, tubes & wires, logistics, new-energy automobiles, and other manufacturing and trading areas. Exhibits not only possess innovative technology with independent intellectual property rights, but also possess high product and service quality, representing the quality and strength of China’s machinery and intelligent manufacturing products, to a large extent.


       Many activities were held during the four-day SMEX 2018 & China Machinery & Intelligent Manufacturing Brand Show (Malaysia), including the Industry 4.0 Forum, Malaysia-Sino Smart Silk Road Forum, China Fluid Power Industry Release, Sino-Malaysia Enterprise Introduction Meeting and the Business Reception Meeting. The show organizers also held a signing ceremony for exhibitor enterprises that had successfully reached cooperation.

       The 2018 China Machinery & Intelligent Manufacturing Brand Show (Malaysia) is a typical example of CMEC EXPO’s independently-held exhibitions, overseas market expansion and self-owned brand exhibition development. The show adheres to the concept of “Leading meetings by exhibition and leading exhibition by meetings”. It promotes the exhibition and related activities through diverse publicity channels to improve the popularity of self-owned Chinese brands in Malaysia and even Southeast Asia. It facilitates exchange in industrial production and intelligent manufacturing technology between China and Malaysia and strengthens in-depth and rapid development in Sino-Malaysia trade. As the show’s organizer, CMEC EXPO is making every effort to build this show into a trading platform for Malaysian and other Southeast Asian enterprises to get to know Chinese brands, and to negotiate and place orders directly. It hopes to be a platform for exchange between the people of China and Malaysia to deepen understanding and promote friendship.
