The 8th Baotou International Auto Exhibition Showcases the Unique Charms of the Grassland City of Steel

       The 8th Baotou International Auto Exhibition and Equipment Manufacturing Expo (herein after referred to as the 8th Baotou International Auto Exhibition) opened at Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center on September 13th, 2018. Mr. Zhang Fusheng, Chairman of China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SINOMACHINT), Mr. Yang Zhanming, Director of Baotou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Mr. Hu Rong, District Chief of Qingshan District of Baotou City, and other leaders of Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co,. Ltd. of NORINCO GROUP, Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Croup Corp. Ltd, BEIBEN Trucks Group CO.,LTD., Inner Mongolia North Hauler Joint Stock Co., Ltd., visited the pavilions together.

       The annual Baotou International Auto Exhibition aims to establish a “Professional, Market-oriented, Branding and International” exhibition in the grassland city of steel. After a long period of development and build-up, the scale and influence of this event had grown over the years. Based on the traditional automobile exhibition, the 8th Baotou International Auto Exhibition had brought forth new ideas. Using the theme of “Automobile, Manufacturing, Life”, the event had followed market trends and presented the structure of leading industries in Baotou, putting on a full display of their latest products and achievements, as well as the future development trends of automobile manufacturing.


       The indoor and outdoor exhibition areas of the recent exhibition had reached 70,000 square meters. Apart from the exhibition and sales area, over 450 automobile models from 80 foreign, joint venture and domestic brands had been attracted to the event, including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, SAIC Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Honda, WEY, Beijing Hyundai, Geely, GAC Chuanqi, Haval, and so on.

       To allow visitors to enjoy both a diversity of automobiles and the beauty of industrial manufacturing, the organizing committee had launched the exposition on key equipment manufacturing jointly with Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Co,. Ltd. of NORINCO GROUP, Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Croup Corp. Ltd, and BEIBEN Trucks Group CO., Ltd. The objective was to combine the upstream equipment of automobile manufacturing with automobile products and finetune the structure of the industrial chain. NORINCO GROUP gave an on-site demonstration of 20 special vehicles and heavy trucks.

       The exhibition also provided supporting services like auto finance, insurance and accessories and maintenance services etc. to allow consumers to select their preferred finishing and insurance when they purchade their favorite vehicle. The objective was to provide a one-stop shopping service platform.

       In addition, the exhibition had innovated the model of publicity and realized “full coverage of on-line and off-line media”. Residents in Baotou were able to learn the highlights and activities of the exhibition in advance through the official Wechat platform, radio and advertisements in supermarkets, bus stations and LED screens on buses. Residents were also able to use the professional on-line shopping platform and search engine to gather information on the key brands, major types of products and preferential policies in a timely manner.

       The 8th Baotou International Auto Exhibition was jointly hosted by SINOMACHINT and Baotou Municipal Government and jointly organized by Baotou Branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Government of Qingshan District of Baotou, Inner Mongolia Chuangyi Culture Communication Company and Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center.
