       On June 1st, the 23rd Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao International Auto Expo and New Energy and Smart Auto Expo (hereinafter referred to as Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show) opened in Shenzhen. Zhou Yamin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd., attended the opening ceremony and gave a speech.

       Zhou Yamin said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC, and at the beginning of the year, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, ushering in a new era of “Bay Area Economy” development. As the organizer of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show, China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. has witnessed and promoted the development of the show at “Shenzhen speed”. From “three-in-one exhibition” to “three cities combined together”, the auto show is an international exhibition that focuses on Shenzhen, brings together the urban consumers of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and integrates the automobile cultures of the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. Zhou Yamin said that the 24th Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show in 2020 will be officially renamed “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Expo”. The organizers will jointly enhance the propagation power of the expo in the 9+2 urban agglomeration in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and its influence in Greater China.
 
       Other attendees included Wang Lixin, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government, Yu Gang, Secretary and Director of the Shenzhen State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, Wang Youming, Secretary and Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Yao Jie, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers; Otake Hitoshi, Executive Deputy General Manager of Lexus China, Zhang Hailiang, Chairman and CEO of Skyline Motors, Hiroaki Takahashi, Managing Director of Subaru Motor (China) Co., Ltd., He Xiaopeng, Founder and Chairman of Xiaopeng Motor, Francesco Scardaoni, managing director of Automobile Lamborghini China, and Meng Bin, Chairman of Shenzhen United Auto Show Management Co., Ltd.
 
       The theme of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show is “Developing Greater Bay Area with Intelligent Appliance iHome”. The auto show is being held across the nine exhibition halls and outdoor areas of Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center and will last for nine days. The exhibition area is 130,000 square meters, and attracted 106 Chinese and foreign car companies and 1,026 cars. In all, 51 press conferences will be held, presenting a wonderful feast of automobile culture for the Greater Bay Area. New energy and smart automobiles were showcased in the first dedicated electric and new energy smart travel hall at the auto show, which saw participation by numerous new vehicle manufacturers. The first show had thousands of cars on display, and even included onsite car launches. 
 
       The Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Auto Show is hosted by China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd., China Ocean Aviation Group Limited, Auto Dealers Association Shenzhen and Federation of Shenzhen Industries, and organized by Shenzhen United Auto Show Management Co., Ltd.
 
       Lu Deheng, Chief Financial Officer of China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd., Wen Yimei, Deputy General Manager, and Wan Peng, Office Director of the Board of Directors also participated in the above activities.
