Writing a new chapter for the Belt and Road—China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services Opens

       At the opening ceremony, Cui Qiming, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus, Zhang Xiaolun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH), Han Shengjian, Deputy Director of Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Hu Zheng, Director of China Merchants Group, Chief Representative of the China Merchants Group to Belarus, and CEO of the Great Stone Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., Alexander Shumilin, Chairman of the National Science and Technology Commission of Belarus, and Vladimir Urakovich, Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave speeches that were met with rounds of applause. Zhou Yamin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (SINOMACHINT) attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition with the other guests.
 

       China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services is an important part of the Belt and Road regional cooperation development forum. Zhang Xiaolun, Chairman of SINOMACH, said in his opening speech that SINOMACH is a highly internationalized large central enterprise group, and also the largest engineering contractor and trade service provider in the Chinese machinery industry. The group has actively implemented the Belt and Road Initiative for a long time, and bravely taken the responsibilities of connecting facilities, trade and people’s hearts. It consistently adheres to the principle of “going global” and “bringing in”, and completed more than 1,300 overseas turnkey projects and total import and export volume of US$150 billion. So far SINOMACH has completed and is carrying out 773 projects in 48 countries along the Belt and Road with a contract value of nearly US$80 billion.
 

 

       China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, organized by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and co-sponsored by CMEC International Exhibition Co., Ltd. affiliated to SINOMACHINT. During the exhibition, the China and Belarus B2B supply and demand docking meeting was also held. More than 100 exhibition enterprises and nearly 200 professional buyers from Belarus and other countries conducted face-to-face on-site meeting and negotiated on cooperation.
 

       Zhou Yamin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SINOMACHINT, said that the China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services provided a new platform for Chinese and foreign enterprises to display products and hold exchanges. Through this exhibition, economic and trade cooperation between China, Belarus and other countries in the world will continue to expand, and cultural exchanges will become more active. SINOMACHINT will continue to uphold the concept of building a platform for technological exchanges and trade services between Chinese and foreign enterprises, stay true to our founding mission and our original aspirations, create more and better exhibition platforms, and cooperate with Chinese and foreign enterprises to create a bright future for the Belt and Road.
 

       SINOMACH and its affiliated enterprise SINOMACHINT attach great importance to and earnestly implement the deployment and arrangement of the important activities of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Economy of Belarus. At the exhibition, SINOMACH undertook the tasks for overall organizing, recruiting, publicity and audience recruitment of the southern part of the pavilion. SINOMACH headquarters and its affiliated enterprises, such as China Design Group Co., Ltd., China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd., SINOCONST, CEI, BMHRI, YTO Group Corporation, CHTC Jove Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. have exhibition space of more than 600 square meters, and this is the largest exhibition group at this exhibition.
 

       China and Belarus Exhibition of Goods and Services is the first non-commercial exhibition held by the Chinese government in Belarus. The successful holding of the exhibition will inject new momentum into practical cooperation between China and Belarus, create new opportunities for expanding the scale of bilateral trade, and build a new platform for promoting entrepreneurship exchanges between the two countries.
