The 1st Baotou International Auto Exhibition (Baotou Auto Show) grandly opened in Baotou Convention and Exhibition Center on Oct. 18, 2012. Vice mayor of Baotou city Cao Wenhua, Governor of Qingshan District of Baotou Zhang Jianzhong, and leader from Baotou city and Qingshan District attended the open ceremony. CNAICO Precident Ji Xuecheng, Vice President Jing Yongjian, Wen Yimei also attended. Vice Governor of Qingshan District Jin Yongli hosted the open ceremony.

President Ji Xuecheng pointed out in his speech that prepared less than two months, Baotou Auto Show can be successfully held thanks to all the sincere cooperation and support. Baotou is located in the heart of the economic development golden triangle of Inner Mongolia, he said, holding an exhibition here will play its unique geographical advantage to influence area of Inner Mongolia, and drive the transformation of auto industry in the second and third-tier cities. CNAICO will explore the exhibition development of Baotou with Baotou government. Let exhibition industry drive the transformation of auto industry, and stimulate local economic development.
 
District Governor Zhang Jianzhong said in his speech, relying on its unique advantages in the automobile industry, QingShan District will work together with CNAICO in Baotou Auto Show, and make the show become the most influential brand in Inner Mongolia region. He hoped that through the joint efforts of both sides, Baotou Auto Show could bring to the local people a professional auto show, and build a brand new supply &demand communication platform between car dealer and publics.
 
It is reported that the 1st Baotou Auto Show is hosted by Municipal Peoples Government of Baotou city Qingshan District and CNAICO, organized by Investment Bureau of Qingshan District, Baotou International Convention and Exhibition Center, and Inner Mongolia Culture communication co., Ltd. With "steel city of grassland, auto show in golden autumn" as the theme, there are nearly 50 companies and brand participated in Baotou Auto Show. The show covered an exhibition area of 45000㎡, and nearly 200 cars and 10 new launched models displayed at the show. The concurrent activities are also colorful. CCTV, China Auto News, China Industry News, Beijing Auto News, Shanghai Auto News, Auto Fashion, 163.com, SINA, SOHU and other central and professional media as well as Inner Mongolia Morning News, Hohhot Evening News, Baotou Daily, Baotou Evening News and other local media reported the show.
 
Before the opening ceremony, President Ji Xuecheng held a brief talk with Vice Mayor Cao Wenhua. President Ji said, as the largest and the most influential centrally-administered enterprise in China automotive exhibition industry, CNAICO had confident to make a better Baotou Auto Show, and let the show play a bigger effect by interacting well with Hohhot Auto Show and Erdos Auto Show. Vice Mayor Cao Wenhua pointed that Baotou city government put a high value on cooperation with CNAICO. He hoped both sides could cooperate in a long-term, expand the scope of cooperation, and deepen cooperation way in the future. Furthermore, he said, the government of Baotou city would actively create conditions and give full support for Baotou Auto Show.
 
After the opening ceremony, President Ji Xuecheng accepted a joint interview from media at the show.
