        On May 26, the first Hong Kong International Automobile Exposition (Hong Kong Auto Show) was successfully launched in HALL 3ED of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). This exposition was jointly held by China National Machinery Industry Corporation (SINOMACH) and NAM KWONG (GROUP) COMPANY LIMITED (NAM KWONG) with the support of China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (SINOMACHINT). Zhang Fusheng, Chairman of SINOMACHINT attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Tang Jie, Director of Foreign Trade Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, Song Xiaodong, Assistant to the General Manager of NAM KWONG, Mark Zheng, Global CMO of SAE, Wen Yimei, Vice Manager of SINOMACHINT and Jiang Dejun, Dedicated Director of SINOMACHINT, attended the activity.
        
        The three-day exposition covered an area of 10,000 square meters and was expected to embrace more than 50,000 visitors and purchasers. The exposition sectors involved luxurious cars, refitted vehicles, classic cars for collection, virtue race cars, self-owned cars, forums and children race cars linked with recreational zones. The expo was crowded with 20 exhibitors including globally famous cars, refitted vehicles, classic cars for collection such as Lotus, Mazda, Ferrari, McLaren, Porsche, Jaguar, etc. Lotus Exige 380 made its Asian debut in the starting ceremony and was unveiled by Poon Bing-Lit, the Father ofHong Kong race cars. Maxus EV80 was introduced to Hong Kong for the first time during the exposition. Mazda has brought the MX-5 that had won the 2016 Annual Extraordinary Automobile Award and sold more than 1 million cars in 2016 worldwide. In addition,the Classic Car Club of Hong Kong has displayed 26 classical cars, half a century of precious collectibles that pleased the crowd.

        As a tribute for the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong’s return to China, the “Promotional Campaign for Self-owned Brands of Chinese Automobile Industry” was taken to Hong Kong for the first time by the Ministry of Commerce.Invited leading Chinese self-owned automobiles includedDongfeng, Maxus,Trumpchi, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (Sinotruck), Geely, and Chery. For the first time in history, all these auto leaders gathered in Hong Kong for the Automobile Industry Self-owned Brands Summit Forum. The activity made full use of Hong Kong’s unique regional superiority of covering the Asia-pacific region and linking the international markets, creating a platform for imports and exports as well as exchanges towards Asia-pacific, Europe and America.
        
        This expositionhas enriched the forms of automobile cultures in different angles to improve the customers’ experience. Meanwhile, more than 20 interactive events including virtual car race, model interaction, live broadcast, children race rails were shown during the exposition.
