       The 22nd China International Automobile Powertrain Technology, Procedure and Equipment Summit Forum & 2018 China Green Automobile Power Development Summit Forum Held Successfully in Beijing

       The 22nd China International Automobile Powertrain Technology, Procedure and Equipment Summit Forum & 2018 China Green Automobile Power Development Summit Forum was held in China International Exhibition Center, Beijing (Jing'anzhuang Venue) on April 25, 2018 during Auto China 2018. This forum was hosted by China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (SINOMACHINT), supported by China Machine Tool & Tool Builders Association, China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, and organized by CAIPEC. Leaders including Wang Liming, Secretary General of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders Association, Xing Min, Secretary General of China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, Zhao Lizhi, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of SINOMACHINT, Wen Yimei and Wang Yang, SINOMACHINT Deputy General Manager, and Song Changying, Assistant to SINOMACHINT General Manager, as well as more than 200 representatives from the automobile industry and machine tool industry attended the forum.


       As an important industry forum, China International Automobile Powertrain Technology, Procedure and Equipment Summit Forum has been held for 21 sessions so far, featuring successful operation experience and resource accumulation. Taking green development of automobile industry as the mainline, this forum focused on the study of new technologies, processes and equipment related to automobile powertrain around theme of "Innovation, Cooperation and Sharing" with digitalization, intelligence and low carbon as the springboard. Zhang Ming with SINOMACHINT presided over the forum.

       Zhao Lizhi, Party Committee Secretary and General Manager of SINOMACHINT, addressed the forum. He fully affirmed the role of the forum in the industry from the perspective of automobile industrial green development and further clarified the goal, significance and importance of the forum. He said that China International Automobile Powertrain Technology, Procedure and Equipment Summit Forum as an important industry forum has been held for more than 20 sessions so far, featuring successful operation experience and resource accumulation. It has developed into an important event in the automobile power segmentation in China, and also reflected the belief and value in promoting technical innovation in Chinese automobile industry. Zhao Lizhi pointed out that automobile powertrain technology is the key to the transformation and upgrading of traditional automobile industry and the key for automobile enterprises to obtain core competitiveness. The research, development and design of core automobile powertrain technologies have always been the breakthrough point for the revitalization plan of automobile industry in China, and the primary task of Chinese national automobile industrial brand development. Against this backdrop, how to give full play to technical advantages of traditional automobile powertrain to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction and how to increase the technical level of new energy automobile powertrain to speed up industrial transformation and upgrading have been major topics worthy of study during the green development of automobile industry.


       13 presentations were included at the forum. Guests from the machine tool, internal combustion engine and automobile industries all thought that the powertrain development has a broad prospect. With constant innovation in traditional processes and technologies, energy saving and environmental protection are imperative. Wang Liming, Secretary General of China Machine Tool & Tool Builders Association, carried out an analysis from three aspects: automobile output and strong consumption momentum in China, fast development of new energy automobile in China and close connection between machine tool industry and automobile industry. He said that China has made great progress in its machine tool industry since the reform and opening-up, and made it develop towards transformation and upgrading and intelligent manufacturing.

       Xing Min, Secretary General of China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, introduced the current situation and development trend of internal combustion engine industry in China and put forward relevant development suggestions. He pointed out that internal combustion engines will remain the main force of the market for a long time to come since they are difficult to be replaced. Technical transformation and upgrading for internal combustion engines should aim at energy saving and emission reduction, and work on breakthroughs in combustion technology. Heat efficiency improvement and fuel consumption reduction turn out to be the biggest challenges for internal combustion engines, and the primary goal for the development of internal combustion engine industry in China.

       In addition, participating experts introduced the current situation and development of automobile green development and machine tool equipment, progress in products and technology and prospect of green manufacturing respectively from different perspectives.

       More than 20 media including China Automotive News, China Industry News, Global Times, China Industrial Economy News, China Economic Herald, Machinery & Electronics Business, Commercial Motor, Automobile Parts, Auto Driving & Service, china.com, Chinese Economic News and guoqing.china.com.cn attended the forum.
