The Eighth Automechanika Shanghai Make a New Record

December 11 to 14, Asia’s largest automotive parts exhibition ------ Shanghai International Trade Fair for Automotive Parts, Equipment and Service Suppliers (Automechanika Shanghai), which co-sponsored by China National Automotive Industry International Corp. and Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
 
With its strong brand appeal and industry influence, the eighth Automechanika Shanghai created a new recode on quantity of exhibitor, display size, professional buyer and other aspects. 4109 companies from 37 countries and regions attended the show. The total exhibition area is 18 million square meters, covering 17 exhibition halls, including 4 newly added halls. The total exhibition area increased 13% compared with that of last year; the overseas and domestic exhibitors increased 33% and 13%, respectively. It is noteworthy that the display areas of the three main sections of this year have a significant growth:Auto Parts and accessories segment increased by 14.77%, repair and maintenance segment increased by 20.11%, automotive supplies and modification segment show an increase of 61.75%. It is estimated that the show of this year would attract more than 70,000 buyers.
 
At the same time, more than 30 fringe programs were planned during the exhibition, covering auto parts, repair, maintenance, service supplies, new energy, remanufacturing and many other fields, attracting a large number of professional visitors in the industry.
 
The fringe programs not only provided the industry with business opportunities, but also explored market trends and the cutting edge technology in aspects of auto parts, maintenance, aftermarket, OEM, supply chain service, new energy vehicle and re-manufacturing.
 
President Ji Xuecheng said that in the next ten to fifteen years, the world’s automobile industry would change dramatically. The production and sales region would largely shift to the Asia market. On a global scale, more and more car manufacturers would shift their market strategic focus from the U.S. and Europe to emerging markets in Asia, especially China. Seen from the long-term development, with the stable development of China's economy, China's automobile industry, as one of the pillar industries in China, will maintain steady growth, which ensures a long-term, stable huge market for auto parts service and after-market service.
 
In recent years, the size of the Automechanika Shanghai and the number of exhibitors showed an incredible growth. This exhibition attracted exhibitors from 37 countries and regions around the world, in addition to the Chinese mainland enterprises, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Latvia, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Vietnam, and Bulgaria, Egypt, Iran, Lebanon and Pakistan, who came to this show for the first time.
 
President Ji Xuecheng, believed that the transformation and upgrading of China's auto parts industry was being ushered a new era. Huge aftermarket demand would bring greater market development space for domestic auto parts enterprises. Mr. Ji said: “Facing such market opportunities, Automechanika Shanghai will continue to provide professional, international, high-efficiency, high-quality service.”
 
During the exhibition, Jia Chengbing, the former chairman of the SASAC, Xu Bingjin, supervisor of China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation, Ding Hongxiang, president of SINOMACH, Wang Songlin, former vice president of SINOMACH, Zhang Fusheng, chairman of the board of CNAICO, and other leaders came to visit the exhibition and  communicated with exhibitors.
